4:19 Collective exists to unify the spiritual community of the Toledo area around the heart of Jesus Christ and the Great Commision—to see the Gospel proclaimed, believers united, and our city transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our movement is rooted in the words of Jesus in Matthew 4:19:
“Follow me, and I will send you out to fish for people.”
Jesus did not call His followers to remain within the walls of a building. He called them to follow Him, go out, and reach people.
We believe that same call is upon the Church today.
Our vision is to see churches, ministries, pastors, leaders, and individual believers throughout the 419 area move beyond denominational, organizational, and congregational boundaries to recognize what we have in common: one Lord, one faith, one mission, and one city to reach.
Our Story
The 4:19 Collective was a movement started by a small handful of individuals who all heard the call to ''unify our city''. They realized that
The resources are already here. The people are already here. The hunger is already here.
Toledo is home to a remarkable and diverse spiritual community—churches, ministries, nonprofits, faith-based businesses, recreational clubs, outreach organizations, and individuals who are actively working to make a difference in the lives of others.
At the same time, there are countless people throughout the area who are hungry for God, searching for community, looking for meaningful relationships, wanting to serve, seeking a church home, or simply asking the question, “Where do I go?”
The challenge is not always a lack of opportunity.
Sometimes the challenge is connection.
There are people looking for community who don’t know where to find it.
There are churches and ministries creating opportunities that people don’t know exist.
There are organizations serving needs that don’t know where to find the people who need them.
There are businesses and recreational communities creating environments where relationships can be built, but their opportunities remain disconnected from the larger faith community. There is a gap between the supply and the demand.
4:19 Collective exists to help bridge that gap.
We envision creating a central landing hub for the spiritual community—a place where people can discover what is happening throughout Toledo and find a pathway to get connected.
A person looking for a church should be able to find one.
A believer looking for a Bible study should be able to discover one.
Someone looking for a place to serve should be able to find an opportunity.
4:19 Collective is designed to become the bridge that connects them.
We are not seeking to replace the churches, ministries, nonprofits, businesses, or organizations that are already doing incredible work throughout our city. We believe the answer is not to create another isolated organization operating alongside what already exists. The opportunity is to create a collective infrastructure that helps the existing spiritual community become more visible, accessible, and connected.
The goal is to make it easier for people to find their place within the Body of Christ.
4:19 Collective is built upon the heart of the Great Commission. Before Jesus commanded His followers to “Go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19), He spoke a prophetic word over His first few disciples and invited them to join the movement: “Follow me, and I will send you out to fish for people.”

The 419 area code represents more than a geographic boundary.
It represents home.
It represents our neighborhoods, families, schools, workplaces, churches, businesses, and communities. 1 John 4:19 also tells us "We love, because He first loved us" When he have received the love of Christ, why would we not want to share that with those around us in our community?
The 419 is the mission field God has placed in front of us.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build a living network where churches, ministries, organizations, businesses, leaders, and individuals can discover one another, collaborate, serve together, and ultimately reach more people with the Gospel.
Because we believe there are people in the 419 who are already searching.
There are ministries already doing the work.
There are churches already carrying the message.
There are organizations that already have access to resources.
What is needed is a bridge.
And our prayer is that 4:19 Collective would become that bridge.
A place where the person searching for community can find it.
A place where the person searching for purpose can find a place to serve.
A place where the person searching for Jesus can encounter His people.
We believe that when the spiritual community of the 419 becomes connected, our collective reach becomes greater. Our communities are served more effectively. Resources can be shared. Relationships are strengthened. The Gospel can move beyond individual congregations and into neighborhoods, schools, businesses, families, and communities.
Our Declaration
We believe Toledo belongs to God.
We believe the Church is stronger together.
We believe every believer has a role in the Great Commission.
We believe unity does not require uniformity.
We believe the Toledo area is a mission field worth reaching.
We believe Jesus is still calling people to follow Him and fish for people.
And we believe that as the Body of Christ comes together in prayer, worship, service, evangelism, and discipleship, we can witness something greater than any individual church could accomplish alone.
This is more than a ministry.
This is a movement toward unity.
This is a call to follow Jesus together.
This is 4:19 Collective.
